Whatever the reason you have for coming to Silverstream, we want to make sure you get the most out of your stay. Make a wish, there are endless possibilities to explore in the local area or have an adventure a bit further afield. Located in the heart of Canterbury and only 30 minutes away from Christchurch City Centre there is lots to do and see. Here are some of our favourite activities:

Go mountain biking at the Christchurch Adventure Park or take it easy on the Rail trail.
Go hiking in the Port Hills and enjoy the magical views.
Explore the French settlement of Akaroa and watch dolphins swimming.
Take a long walk at Lake Ellesmere only 5min from here.
Be spontaneous and hop on the Cable Car and tour Christchurch.
And yes, world famous - punting on the Avon River.
Check out the latest exhibition at the Christchurch Art Gallery.
Take a drive through the majestic Arthurs Pass with your car or take the TransAlpine Train.
In winter, go skiing to powder days at Mt Hutt or Porters.
Try some delicious wine tasting in the area.
